Geodis appoints Jean-Benoît Devauges as Group Advocate


Geodis announces the appointment of Jean-Benoit Devauges as Group General Council. He will be a member of the group’s management council, who chaired Marie-Christine Lombard, CEO of Geodis. He also joins Geodis Executive Council with Marie-Christine Lombard and David-Olivier Tarac.

Jean-Benoît Devauges began his career with the international arbitration firm Lazareff & Associés before joining Renault’s legal department in 2000 as a corporate lawyer. In 2006, he joined the Nissan Motor Company’s global law department in Tokyo, Japan, before being transferred to the United States two years later and joined the legal team of Nissan North America in Nashville, Tennessee.

He was appointed deputy in 2011 as the group’s general advocate of Renault with responsibility for partnerships, mergers and acquisitions. In 2017, he was promoted to general lawyer and was appointed secretary of the Board of Directors in 2019. Since 2023 he has been general lawyer and head of legal affairs, ethics and corporate governance at fellow, the French Business Confederation.

Jean-Benoît Devauges has postgraduate diplomas from the University of Paris I in International Business Law and from the University of Paris II in EU law. He is allowed to practice in France.
