The first phase of the deployment of Kale’s Galaxy Cargo Management System automated the process of shipping and document acceptance – with the aim of streamlining processes that previously relied on or not harmonized on manual data, which led to delays and duplication of work.
“Kale has always led progress on air freight digitalization and digitalization worldwide, and this launch is its strategic entry into the Japanese market,” says Atsushi Kato, management adviser, CKTS Company Limited.
“At CKTS we are excited to use the capabilities of Kale’s flagship galaxy system and look forward to benefiting for many years from the advanced functionalities.”
The Kansai International Airport is a pivot for major airlines in Japan, with CKTs handling 140,000 tonnes of air freight annually.
“Galaxy was a critical asset for a wide range of our partners, and it now gets more land in the Far East and transforms land handling operations in Japan,” said Vineet Malhotra, co-founder and director of Kale Logistics Solutions.
“Adapting own messages is an important milestone for kale as a digital trading facilitator – we look forward to digitizing the CCT operations in the coming phases.”
Kale’s Galaxy system is deployed in phases to optimize the digital integration of existing systems and processes not to disrupt cargo operations.
